Approximately 9,000 media items (books, magazines, audio books, DVDs) can be borrowed.
The inventory is regularly supplemented by loan items (e.g. console games, audio books, books) from the State Office for Public Libraries in Thuringia.
Every customer of the Ruhla library can borrow e-media from the "ThueBIBNet" library network 24 hours a day, whether from home or on the go.
An internet workstation is available in the library.
Every year, numerous events are offered, such as library tours, author readings, presentations of current literature for kindergartens, schools and other institutions in the city.
Media that are not available in the Ruhla library can be ordered via interlibrary loan from other libraries at: www.gbv.de
